Digitalisation, AI and the growing demands of sustainability are rapidly reshaping both society and the labour market. For creative professionals, this shift brings both new opportunities and significant challenges. Digital tools and generative AI can be powerful resources in creative processes – but they also raise pressing questions around authenticity, copyright and viable income models for cultural practitioners.

The Create, Adapt, Sustain project aims to equip professionals working within the cultural and creative industries, as well as practitioners from these disciplines active in other sectors, with the knowledge, tools and networks they need to navigate in future challenges. By offering a wide range of training within digital & creative competence, leadership and Collaborative Foresight, it supports sustainable working methods and enables participants to thrive and grow in a rapidly changing world.

At its core, the project is about providing creative professionals with the means to understand, shape and apply digitalisation, AI and foresight in ways that strengthen creativity, enable collaboration and foster sustainable practices by connecting actors from culture, business, academia and the public sector.

Target Audience

The project invites professionals from across the cultural and creative industries, as well as those applying creative skills in other sectors. It aims to create an inclusive arena that embraces the full breadth of the field – from independent practitioners and small enterprises to public institutions and foundations.

Activities

Through a combination of short classes, in-depth training programmes, international exchanges and public seminars, participants can strengthen their practical skills in digitalisation, AI and emerging technologies. Furthermore, they are offered training in futures thinking and strategic foresight, while also building networks and learning from peers both regionally and internationally. The activities also provide space for discussion around ethics, sustainability and democratic values in relation to new technologies – encouraging a critical and conscious approach to the ongoing development of digitalisation.
