Opening Reflections and Signal Scanning Futures of Games

April 20, 2026

1 pm — 4 pm

This is an open workshop for anyone interested and invested in the future of game development and gaming. We seek to bring together a range of professional, educational and lived experiences from students and researchers to game developers, gamers, artists, UX designer, sound designers, producers, marketing managers and others.

To kick the workshop off we’re inviting three game professionals to share trends that are affecting them, a signal of change they are curious about, and a future of games they are striving towards.

In the workshop part, you’ll learn about and practice identifying and using one of the core elements in foresight : signals of change. You will work side-by-side with folks from other fields and backgrounds and learn about the signs of change they see connected to futures of games.

Participation is free of charge, but seats are limited. The workshop will be held in English.
