Japan is having a big impact on pop culture in the world, not the least when it comes to anime, manga and video games. It’s also a country with an appetite for cultural expression produced elsewhere.
In this lecture Uzuki Tachibana will share insights on how to understand the Japanese market for digital content, and with case studies as a base talk about how people consume digital contents.
Uzuki Tachibana runs the Japan office of video game publisher Gamirror Games that is mainly focusing on bringing western game developers to the biggest markets in Asia, including China and Japan. He is also working with Tokyo Contents Incubating Center, and the first video game incubator "So-fu program" from Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry as a lecturer/mentor.
Uzuki's direct experience navigating the Japanese digital market, combined with his mentorship roles in prominent incubator programs, grants him a rare and invaluable insight into how to succeed with launches in the region.
Uzuki is in Malmö to take part in the Malmö Residency program.
The lecture is co-organised with Game Habitat.
