Join us for a fireside chat with Mikko Dufva, docent of futures studies and Foresight Team Lead at The Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra.

For years, foresight practitioners and futures scholars have looked up to Finland with its rich and diverse ecosystem for futures work, from higher levels of government to academia, to businesses and civil society. One of the key actors in building the futures literacy and foresight capacity is the Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra – an independent public foundation which operates directly under the supervision of the Finnish Parliament.

We invite foresight and futures professionals, students and researchers to join us for a conversation with Mikko Dufva, docent of futures studies and Foresight Team Lead at The Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra and currently one of the residents in the Malmö Residency program.

During this morning fireside chat, we’ll hear about Mikko’s experiences and learnings in building foresight and futures literacy in the Finnish and European contexts, his observations of where the field(s) of futures and foresight might be headed and what he is particularly curious, hopeful and concerned about when it comes to the futures of futures.

The fireside chat is co-organised with Malmö University’s Research Centre for Imagining and Co-Creating Futures.
