How do we communicate complex urban developments to the people who live with it? What could urban development look like if the knowledge of citizens and professionals could actually meet earlier, more continuously and more intelligently? And could technology help us build a more collective form of foresight - not just asking people what they think today, but helping us imagine what a place could become tomorrow?

About

The seminar will share some of what emerges from this exploration, but more importantly, open up a conversation about a bigger question: How can we use technology, collective intelligence and new forms of participation to make urban development easier to understand, more democratic - and perhaps even more exciting to take part in?

During his Malmö Residency at Media Evolution, architecture graduate, impact entrepreneur, co-founder of PublicTwin Michal Kasperski is sharing findings from a month exploring how Malmö's residents and city-makers see the same city.

Context

The event is hosted in partnership with Malmö Residency 2026, where Michal Kasperski is one of this year's residents. Malmö Residency 2026 is funded by the City of Malmö, Malmö University and Malmö Generate District, and organised as a collaboration between more than 60 companies in Malmö, the City of Malmö, the Swedish Institute and Media Evolution.
