How will collaboration change when intelligent systems become everyday partners in work, creativity, and decision-making? What happens to trust, coordination, agency, and human connection when AI becomes part of the team? And how might these futures feel in our bodies, not just in our minds?
This interactive two-hour workshop explores the future of human collaboration in times of AI through movement, embodiment, and futures thinking. The workshop focuses on our relationship with change and on the evolving dynamics of working together. Participants investigate emerging forms of cooperation, coordination, and collective intelligence by moving between reflection, discussion, and movement-based exercises. The workshop draws on methods from embodied futuring, which brings attention to sensations, emotions, movement, and lived experience as valuable sources of insight alongside analytical thinking.
Participants are invited to explore futures not only as ideas to discuss, but as possibilities to inhabit, experience, and reflect upon. This approach can reveal assumptions, tensions, and opportunities that often remain hidden in conventional conversations about the future. No previous experience in futures thinking, dance, or movement practices is required. The workshop emphasizes curiosity, experimentation, and collective sense-making rather than performance.
Participants are encouraged to engage at their own comfort level and discover how embodied exploration can open new perspectives on the future of work and collaboration. Suitable for: Foresight practitioners, innovators, researchers, organizational leaders, development professionals, and anyone curious about the future of human collaboration.
This workshop is facilitated by Mikko Dufva, Senior Lead in Foresight and Training at the Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra.
This workshop is part of Media Evolution’s Foresight and Futures series and explores similar questions as our upcoming Collaborative Foresight cycle on Futures of Human Collaboration and AI.
